Quality Certification Services (QCS), “Certifying Globally, Acting Locally”  is an organic certifying agency that certifies Farming, Wild crafting, Livestock, Processing, Packing, and Handling operations. Quality Certification Services offers USDA ISO Guide 65 and USDA National Organic Program accredited certification options.

Clover has been certified organic by QCS since 2000. We are audited annually in which our farmers and production facility undergo a series of checks to make sure we are maintaining our organic certification. For Clover, being certified organic means that the land that the farms have their animals on must only use USDA National Organic Program approved herbicides and pesticides for three years prior to the organic cows grazing on the land. The cows must be fed an organic diet and treated holistically—no use of antibiotics or other medications to treat illness for 1 year prior to the cow being milked as an organic cow for the first time.
